About Sarah Perelman, M.D.
I first discovered my passion for emergency medicine when I volunteered on my college's ambulance as an Emergency Medical Technician, where I learned the importance of compassionate care in emergencies. I believe in working as a team with patients and families to find the best plan, while also being respectful of time and providing efficient, attentive care. Although I enjoy caring for patients of all ages, my focus is on geriatrics after experiencing the challenges of coordinating my grandmother's care. In addition to working in the emergency department as a physcian, I enjoy teaching residents, working on quality improvement initiatives, and am part of a team that addresses concerns of elder abuse.
